Naming a Beneficiary

Transfer of Shares in the event the owner passes away.

Updated over a week ago

FrontFundr and the investment documents you sign do not have an area to indicate a beneficiary.

What happens to the investment of someone who has passed away and the shares are not publicly listed?

The investment will be transferred to the beneficiary indicated in the will. There may be a fee involved with each transfer of holdings to a new individual as each Company's legal counsel will be involved in the transfer.

The Executor of the will should connect with FrontFundr (support@frontfundr.com) providing the following documents:

  1. Death certificate

  2. The will (to confirm the Executor and the Beneficiary)

  3. The contact information of the Beneficiary

FrontFundr will connect the Beneficiary with each company that was invested to begin the transfer process.
