These are the commonly used legal terms on our platform!

Offering

Another word for the fundraising campaign. Every campaign is an offering of securities to the public, hence the name.

Issuer

The company fundraising (running an "Offering") on FrontFundr.

Investment Commitment

A pledge to invest in an offering; it is revocable by either you or the company, subject to certain terms and conditions.

Target (or Minimum) Offering Amount

The initial fundraising goal an issuer must reach for the offering to be considered “successful.”

Offering Document

An 'Offering Document' is referencing the required document for NI 45-110 - The National Crowdfunding Exemption. This document outlines details on the issuer, the offering, and the risks involved.

Offering Memorandum

An 'Offering Memorandum' or OM is referencing the required document for NI 45-106 2.9 - Offering Memorandum Exemption. This document outlines details on the issuer, the offering, and the risks involved. It will also contain the most recent Year-End Audited Financial Statements.
